Stained options are crafted from Paulownia, a tree long valued in China and Japan for its lightweight yet strong wood. One of the world’s fastest growing tree species, Paulownia is increasingly popular as a source of sustainable timber.
Because hardwood is so much lighter than MDF, Fiji is ideal for larger windows and room dividers. It’s also very well suited to track and bi-fold systems and to installations that need more complex frames, such as conservatories and bay windows.
Bear in mind too that hardwood shutters are great insulators, helping you keep cool in summer and warm in winter.
